The Schaffers: First Road Trip with the Boys: 4th of July, Family, Food and Fun!!!

For the 4th of July Justin and I usually go to St. Louis to visit family. This year was especially important for us because we would be taking the boys to meet their family for the first time. They got to meet a lot of their family while we were there and we took lots of pictures! It was a wonderful weekend. It was was a wonderful week. It was the boys' first major road trip (they had been to Gatlinburg which a little bit of a drive) and they were absolutely perfect. They never made a peep until they were hungry and slept pretty much the rest of the time. They were just perfect little angels. I am thinking they are going to love to travel just like their mommy and daddy. On our way to St. Louis we stopped and spent the night in Nashville with Mommy and Daddy #2 aka Nona and Grandpa Robert aka Lisa and Robert Bellamy. :) We really enjoyed spending some time with them. Then we headed to St. Louis for several days and we had a blast! Not only did the boys do really well on the road trip but they also did well the entire time we were there. They continued to sleep through the night even though they were out of their normal environment. We had such a wonderful time being with family. We went to Culvers one night and met up with Aunt Renea, Uncle Chuck, Holly and Tom and their children and Steve and Tammy and their children. It was so great catching up with family we had not seen in a while.We just relaxed and ate ourselves silly.Here are pictures of everyone getting to meet the boys for the first time:
